During demolition we uncovered a false floor where the depth had been built up years earlier, and we also found tiles laid over a painted surface, with new concrete placed over old finishes.
It was obvious this pool had been “renovated” at least three times across forty years, exactly the kind of shortcuts you get from cheap quotes and dodgy trades.
For us, it is proof of why experience matters, we get to see where others went wrong, then fix it properly once and for all. We stitched and repaired structural cracks, re rendered, then fully waterproofed the shell and finished it in Luna 48 mm tiles from The Pool Tile Company, using products and methods that meet or exceed Australian guidelines, so this pool is finally built the way it should have been from the start.
